What is a midwife?
- Midwife simply means “with woman”.
- A certified nurse-midwife (CNM) is a registered nurse who has advanced training and education in family planning, pregnancy, birth, newborn care, postpartum, menopause and beyond.
- In California, a CNM is an independent practitioner who works in collaboration and consultation with a physician depending on the needs of the individual client.

Our goal is to provide you with exceptional, holistic, compassionate care centered around your needs and values.
We are truly passionate about women’s health care and pride ourselves on offering the most up to date care. Most rewarding for us are the successful health outcomes and close relationships we develop with our patients over time. We offer a wide range of services including prenatal care, labor and birth services, gynecological services, outpatient treatment for urinary incontinence, pelvic prolapse, and skin resurfacing.
Sarah Dinkler (she/her/hers) is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. A long time Ventura resident, she graduated from the Nursing Program at Ventura College and worked as an RN in Labor and Deliver at Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) for 15 years.
Our latest addition, is also a Board Certified Nurse Midwife. Bethany is home grown and is a native of Ojai. Bethany obtained her Midwife certification from Georgetown University and have worked at CMH as well as Planned Parenthood and is well versed in Women’s Health.
